Values at stake

One of the most horrible misconceptions human has ever held true is that democracy and freedom is something to be earned from fighting against injustice, violence, whatever evil they think is against their cause. By doing so, they seem to think the cause will assume a higher value. Horrible it is when things they label unjust, violent, etc turn out the other way round.
